Tamales

A package of 10 tamales were not wrapped properly in paper and some were smashed, broken or dried out

LOVE these tamales...my only complaint, they're not available at your st.pete., fl location. Why can,t I order them?

No longer on the menu at my local Portillo's I was glad to see that it's available thru mail order.

I am from Chicago and love chicago style hotdogs and tamales.

Arrived right on time. Packed well and still frozen. Reminds me of when I used to live in Chicago everytime I have one.

We are so pleased to be able to get Portillo's shipped to us here on Hawaii Island. The products arrive fully frozen and very well packaged. Mahalo for your excellent food and service.

I use to get these when I lived in Chicago , at the resturant. I ordered these online and they came nicely packed frozen . Instructions said to boil them for 10 min. We did. Just did not taste good. Tried baking , tried microwave .. steaming. These were expensive and not tasty at all. We ended up thowing the rest out, we gave some to neighbor who also is from Chicago area and they agreed. I should ask for refund but I guess its buyer beware. Otherwise i like all the other Portillo products.

I love Portillo's. I only wish there was one in Springfield , Mo.

Speedy delivery, items were delivered frozen. I don't live near a Portillos, and when we do travel to Davenport, IA. or Peoria, IL. restaurants, they don't sell tamales, so I have to order them. They are the best!

Great product. I wish they would start putting Portillos in Tennessee.

The Italian beef and tamales were delicious, the same way it was when I lived in Chicago

The tamales were very good, BUT, their instructions for cooking were NOT correct! You can not boil them from a frozen state and get them done or unthawed as stated in the instructions! We had to use electric frying pans to thoroughly cook them to make them edible! BUT, they are excellent once cooked!!

A hard-to-find, 'Excellent product' which we freeze an enjoy having on hand for special meals.

My family loves them. Originally we are from. Chicago and greatly miss Portillo’s food as nothing compares in Cincinnati.

couldn't wait to get tamales and 2nd day delivery was worth the extra money.They are almost gone now so need to order more

Been eating Chicago hot tamales for over 70 years, and yes these are real. Order came still frozen but I wouldn't get them June/July/August delivered in Florida.

Or these as a gift to my sister, however, I was so disappointed they all came unwrapped and pure white as if they were frostbitten and old. Did get there on time for her birthday, but she was not able to enjoy them as she planned with her company. Spoke with customer service sent them pictures And they sent out a new batch. This should have never happened to ever pack. This order should have been able to look at this and tell that there was a problem, but they still sent them. Portillo’s should have offered some sort of gift card as an apology but that just didn’t happen and I have ordered from them maybe four or five times these tamales. I will continue to order from them, however, hope that I am not taking through this again as I stated there was no apology just simply resent the order after I proved my point with pictures customer service is very important at this one I feel, they failed at making a customer satisfied . however I would definitely continue to order from Portillo’s. !

A delicious item, i actually frequented the dog house with my parents, and later years with my husband. I love the tamales, nice huge tamales, beef filled, with a nice thick corn outside. defiantly worth the price, a must have with your hot dog for a great meal. Great taste, same quality as years gone by remembering a great place in Chicago, where I lived for 67 years and can still enjoy the great taste today, thank you

I live in Michigan and was missing my tamales. They are the best I have been eating them for years. So glad I am able to order them.

These are the best tamales. A little large quantity but freeze well & steam heat just as well. The delivery system maintained the frozen state. Since they are not sold in the restaurant, this is the only way to enjoy them. Also wish a Portillo’s was located closer to The Villages, Fl. Would enjoy it so much more often.

We have enjoyed these for many years at the Portillos restaurants but for some reason thye no longer sell them at our location. We purchase them on line for us and other family members. We all enjoy this unique tamale. It is a great value with quick delivery when ordering online at the Portillo's site.
