Portillo’s (NASDAQ: PTLO), the fast-casual restaurant concept known for its menu of unrivaled Chicago-style street food, today announced plans to open a new location in the state of Florida, making it the eighth in the state and third in the Tampa area.
The new Portillo’s restaurant in Lutz will be located in Wesley Chapel Town Center. the approximately 6,250 square-foot Portillo’s restaurant will feature the brand’s new Restaurant of the Future design, including a dining room with seating for more than 125 guests, as well as an outdoor patio with room for about 40 additional guests. It will also feature the brand’s grab and go and pick up areas and signature double drive-thru lanes to accommodate off-premise guests.
“We’re excited to open in Lutz to provide even more opportunities for our Florida fans to get their Portillo’s fix,” says Portillo’s CEO Michael Osanloo. “We’ve loved serving our craveable Chicago street food to the Tampa-area community, and we’re excited to continue to give guests even more convenience with this newest restaurant in Lutz.”
When the new restaurant opens for business later this year, guests can expect to enjoy Portillo’s signature menu items like Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake.
