  • Order for delivery in advance to beat the holiday rush. All food orders must be placed to arrive before December 21st. Cannot place order to arrive December 22-29.
  • Your package could arrive before or after your selected delivery date. UPS is experiencing high volumes and packages may be delayed.
  • Italian beef is shipped frozen, it is normal for it to start to defrost, especially in hot temperatures.
  • Italian Beef & gravy can be stored in the fridge for 5-7 days, or frozen up to 3 months for best quality.

Used to buy this every year and it would come pre-frosted in a pan. This year, you have to self-assemble and frost it but the price stayed the same even though you’ve got to put a little legwork into it that you didn’t have to before. Still perfectly delicious but definitely annoying!

I ordered this cake three weeks before I wanted it delivered. I scheduled delivery for the Friday before valentines day. The cake did not get delivered - when I called UPS, they said the cake had been sent regular 5 day. When I called Portillos they told me they were sorry and they would send out another to be delivered overnight - valentines day. It did not get there until Wednesday. The cake was a surprise for my college student. I had to ruin the surprise and tell him to get the cake delivered Monday and toss it as it had been sitting in a warm building/truck for 5 days and then had to apologize for 2nd cake not getting there for valentines day either. In all fairness - the cake that was delivered was awesome tasting but the delivery plan sucked.

My wife and I moved from Chicago to Charlotte and it turns out there’s far too many miles between us and the nearest Portillo’s! Alas, Valentine’s Day was saved by delivery. The website to order the cakes was impossible to navigate. The promotion stated shipping was included, but it did NOT state that shipping was included ONLY if you agreed to the cakes being shipped on certain days of the week. That was deceptive when promoting the cakes for Valentines Day! My grandchildren did enjoy the cakes and icing them. The website had to be completely exited for a separate order for a different location. It was impossible to determine what field to click to bring up the actual field where ordering was possible. Come on! You can’t produce a user friendly website where bringing up the field to place the order is obvious? Certainly you have better website developers than that!
