How do you bring our values to life in the restaurant?
Families can have honest conversations and give each other feedback, and that's what we do at Portillo's. We discuss what we need to do to improve operations and how we can best take care of our guests everyday. Next, it's all about energy. What we put into the world will have a domino effect on guest services, operations, and most importantly, our culture!
What type of culture are you building in Downer's Grove?
I want our Team Members to pull into our parking lot and say "Cool, so-and-so is working today. I am going to learn something and have fun!" We are family who continue to learn from each other and have each other's backs.
What is a hobby you have outside of work?
I love to cook and spend quality time with my Family - family is everything to me. I also enjoy working with my wife on my days off - she owns her own interior design business and I'm so proud of her!
Are you an Early Bird or Night Owl?
I am both! I get up each day between 5-5:30 a.m. and go to bed by 12 a.m.

I am a cheeseburger guy - they are the best!
How long have you been with Portillo's?
8 years and 2 months... but who's counting?!
