Italian Beef Sandwich Kit (Serves 8-10)

I’m so embarrassed on the finger buns. We are not 2 years old. We have guest coming over this weekend that never experienced a beef and we have finger food. Are these left over from the Super Bowl? It doesn’t say on the website 12 years old and younger. Really? Also disappointed in beef packaging. Please go back to 2 packages. Was a loyal customer for 40 years

Arrived still frozen and tasted amazing

Portillo's has my utmost respect. I ordered my original sandwiches and because of a winter storm FedEx decided they would not deliver our Super Bowl food even though the roads were clear. I called Portillo's and explained the situation and they said they would resend the order. It was the Saturday night before Super Bowl Sunday and I trying to figure out Plan B. Then at around 7:00PM FedEx showed up and delivered a big beautiful white box with Portillo's on it. Our Super Bowl feast was saved. We did however order a few Giordano's weeks before but the Portillo's was the star of the show even though DaBears didn't make the show. Funny how every time I order Portillo's everybody is available for the event. Thank you Portillo's!!!!!!

I've ordered the Italian Beef Sandwiches for years and years. Always have it conveniently in my freezer, for when the urge for Italian Beef sandwich hits. This last order was a bit different; the beef came in a large package that we had to use a ban saw to cut into 3 sections (for the two of us) and the size of the rolls were very small but worked out better because the other rolls were too big. These were perfect. As long as Portillos has the shipping service, I will always have them in my freezer. Love this product

As a former Chicago area resident, I have been ordering Portillo’s for decades. I have reviewed my purchases lately, highlighting the change in the rolls, and the fact that all if the beef is in one bag, eliminating the option of multiple meals. While the rolls have increased in size, they are still too small. The issue with the beef in one bag remains a MAJOR issue. Once you thaw it, you need to use it. We order this for ourselves and family members. None of us are interested or able to use this for one meal. Dilusionally, I never thought Portillo’s would change. It was perfect in every way! I am personally very disappointed, but I guess change is not always positive for everyone. I am sure your changes have been for economy, but you are alienating those who have cherished your brand for decades.

The Italian Beef sandwiches were delivered on time in perfect shape. It was the centerpiece of all the food items we had at at a football party. It stole the show. People couldn’t stop raving about the quality of the meat, the au jus , bread etc. Everything was perfect and I’ll definitely order again. So will some of my guests!!

The beef is great-tender and flavorful. Unfortunately you have changed the packaging meaning that although the gravy still comes in 2 separate packages, the beef is all in 1. I’m very disappointed because I am alone and can’t use all the beef at once. Please consider going back to the 2 packs of beef. It would also be great if you sold the beef/gravy alone instead of in sandwich packs. Peppers could be an optional add on. Bread isn’t special anymore and something similar can be purchased locally. Thank you

Omg!! My husband from Illinois turned me on to Portillo's in 2019. It's become a Superbowl tradition in our home every since! It's soooo stinking good! We just got ours sandwich kit Thursday. See ya next year! Go Seattle since KC didn't make it!

I love your beef, but am disappointed that you changed the packaging so beef comes in one package, while gravy still comes in two. I’m alone and I can’t use all the beef fast enough. Please consider changing it back to two smaller packages. Also, please consider selling the beef/gravy alone, with peppers optional, instead of just in the sandwich package. The bread is not special and I would prefer to buy bread locally.

Everything tasted delicious and was wonderful. The reason I did not give it 5 stars was that the packaging was ripped open. One bag of the gravy was open inside of the cooler packaging and had gotten all over everything else. Although most of as salvageable, it was disappointing that gravy ( au jus) was everywhere.

I sent the Italian beef kit to my Dad for his birthday…he received it on the day I requested and he absolutely loved it!

I bought 2 orders of Portillo's beef sandwiches. One for my brothers 65th birthday and 1 for my daughter and son-inlaws New Year's gift. These family members love these sandwiches. Best and most appreciated gift ever!

This was unbelievable! We will be ordering more to keep in the freezer. This fed a ton of people and everyone loved it. Worth every penny.

We have ordered this several times and I’m very disappointed that you have changed the packaging. We don’t want to cook all of the beef at one time for only a family of 4. The beef used to come in two separate packages which was great. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!
