I used to order this all the time and loved it. However, you have changed to putting all the meat in one package, which is not functional for most families. Why do you split the rolls and gravy into 2 packages, but cram all the meat into one? It used to be perfect. Now, I strongly recommend against ordering this unless you are truly feeding 8-10 people in one sitting. Sadly, our family won’t be ordering it anymore.

Delicious. But the peppers leaked and got on the bag for the bread. Difficult to clean up without getting bread damp. But just toasted them in oven and they were good enough.

I have been getting this shipped to me in Florida for 32 Years. I just bought this for my wife for here birthday. The rolls are not the same they use to be so good and the beef was like a light brown and was stringy and did not taste good at all. Why would you change something that has been great for all these years? I have All my friends loved Portillo's. We have one about 45 minutes away from us and we would all get in my truck and drive there just for lunch. I am really disappointed and wish you didn't change things. It was always great the way you packaged it also, For me and my wife I could cook half and have the 4 rolls and save the rest for another time. Now you have all the beef in one serving. Thats not good. Let me know if you decide to go back to the old ways. Thanks you

The only thing I would have liked was to have your French bread instead of the rolls you include. I just went to Publix and brought their French bread and gave the rolls away.

It is our gift to our son-in-law for his birthday for the last few years! Our family used to live down the street from the Bolingbrook, IL store, it was always a treat, but we now live in Pittsburgh and miss our neighborhood Portillo's! However, the last couple years, the package arrived as predicted and was opened upon arrival, the meat and bread were partially thawed. The quality of the meat didn't seemed to be affected but in the past the meat was still frozen upon arrival. Has your packaging changed?

Just wanted to say I love Portillos, however the new items 16 rolls instead of 8 and one pack of meat instead of two is not good if you have a small family. The old way items were packaged was better.

Very disappointed!! Been ordering from you for probably 30 years. To start, the new packaging is HORRIBLE. I bought only "16" sandwiches this time to see what it would be. I was kind of excited about the half sandwiches but never expected the meat to be all in 1 pack. That forced us to cook it all at once. The bread was dry and falling apart, and I don't like that it was already cooked. As well, the sandwiches were very greasy. We will not be ordering again! So sad.

Our order arrived exactly when it was supposed to. Still frozen in the package. The food was delicious. Can't say enough about that. My only complaint is that the beef and gravy were each packaged in one large serving. The last time we ordered the Italian Beef Sandwich Kit the beef and gravy packs were each split into two separate packs allowing us to cook half now and keep the other packs frozen for later. Next time we will make a request to ship it that way. Overall we are very satisfied.

We experienced that same Portillos taste all the way down here in the South! (Arkansas) ! Full of flavor, and fresh! We paired with our homemade fried potatoes!

I’ve ordered tons of times…but, this last time, will be my last! It was packed poorly one half a package of bread was damaged with gravy juice that was punctured and had leaked out. Yes, 1/2 of the best part I didn’t bother calling because, I don’t want it to seem like I’m trying to get something for free I’m not. The shirt I ordered was the wrong color that should be updated on your website also. I haven’t been back home in a long time but, smashed soaked bread and a not a full two pouches of gravy count me out. Thanks for the 5 years of service.

Never received the order. FedEx sent me an email that the package was undeliverable because it was wet? One would think Portillos would know how to properly ship its food. Extremely disappointed with the entire experience and won't ever order anything from here again.

Unfortunately, I won't be recommending Portillos any longer. I've recommended you a ton this last handful of years, as to me you're iconic when it comes to your Italian beef. We've been ordering from you about 12 or so times over the last 6 years. It's been a while since my last order and it's all my son wanted for his birthday, traditional Chicago Italian hot beef sammies in Colorado! What came was Not what used to come, for the same price. We got about half the meat, you've dropped the size of the buns to half size, the peppers are halved in quantity and lacked the bright green just pulled out of the pot flavor, and to top it you've changed the recipe of the au jus! It's not at all that rich brothy goodness- way too peppery, super thin, such a bummer. This is the first time Ever my boys were not fighting for the last of the meat. I will be trying other establishments for the true Italian beef, as this is not it any longer. So bummed.

We order frequently and never disappointed. My husband says he could eat every night!!!

Plenty of everything, just wish we had a Portillo's closer!!
