Following a highly successful debut in Richmond last month, Portillo’s (NASDAQ: PTLO) – the fast-casual restaurant concept known for its menu of unrivaled Chicago-style street food – today announced plans to open an additional location in Tomball, which will expand the company’s footprint in the bustling Houston market—joining Richmond and the upcoming opening in Willowbrook.
The newest Portillo’s restaurant will be located in Tomball at The Grand Parkway Town Center, a developing retail center. The location is set to be a “Restaurant of the Future,” designed with a one of a king American diner theme. The 6,250 square-foot restaurant will feature seating for 160 guests, as well as a double drive-thru lane, Portillo’s Pick Up shelves and Grab and Go area to accommodate off-premise guests.
"We've been met with nothing but love and excitement since opening our first location in Houston in October," says Portillo's CEO Michael Osanloo. "We're thrilled to further expand into the market and we can't wait to continue to bring our unrivaled Chicago street food to the Lone Star State."
When the new restaurants open for business later this year, guests can expect to enjoy Portillo’s signature menu items like Chicago-Style Hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake.
